Public Theology Group

The group works with the General Director to co-coordinate our Union’s response to current political, social and ethical developments. It submits responses to a select number of consultations sent out by Holyrood and Westminster. It also signposts resources to help churches reach their own conclusion on issues of national concern and contribute to the national conversation in an informed way.

The Public Theology group works with other Christian organisations from time to time and regularly contributes to the work of the Scottish Churches’ Parliamentary Office.

On these pages you will find information, advice and support for church leaders. This includes guidance on ministry, mission, training, safeguarding, financial and legal compliance.

Prayer

Prayer is at the heart of our Union. The prayer calendar is a framework to help individuals or congregations pray for all our churches throughout the year.  Every Sunday evening several hundred people from our churches across Scotland join in our National Prayer Livestream.
