On 29 June BUS launched this new website.

It now has a cleaner look and you should find it easier and more intuitive to navigate. There is a wealth of news and resources on the website and we will be adding much more in the weeks ahead.

This is part of a wider brand refresh which will affect all our communications. You will notice the new logo and shapes in our other communications too.

Big thanks to Emma Boyd from Adelaide Place Baptist Church for a great design and expert advice to BUS on developing our communications.

Praying for our Churches in 2021

I have been greatly inspired by our National Prayer Live gatherings over 2020 and we will be continuing this on a monthly basis into 2021. It is so good to unite together in prayer for our churches, our nation and our world.

2021 – Hope

2021 – Hope

Having crossed the threshold of a new year, with or without a lump of coal, what is it that we cherish as our hope for the months that lie ahead?

Carols by Torchlight in Newton Mearns!

Carols by Candlelight would normally be a highlight during Advent for many people within in our community and church family but like many things in 2020 it just was not possible to have such an event within in our building. Rather than being discouraged we felt enlivened to create something new and different that everyone could participate in outside of the building and so Carols by Torchlight began to take shape.

Resources

On these pages you will find information, advice and support for church leaders. This includes guidance on ministry, mission, training, safeguarding, financial and legal compliance.

Prayer

Prayer is at the heart of our Union. The prayer calendar is a framework to help individuals or congregations pray for all our churches throughout the year.  Every Sunday evening several hundred people from our churches across Scotland join in our National Prayer Livestream.
