22nd October

Lord we pray today for all the people we can take for granted – the lorry drivers and van drivers essential to the movement of food and fuel across the land. We pray for the recruitment of more men and women into these important supply chain roles. We also pray for good working conditions for people working in this area across the world. May your kingdom come.

23rd October

BMS World Mission – Please pray for BMS World Mission workers across the world. Pray that they will be a blessing to the communities they serve among, and that their work will ultimately bring more people to faith. The Covid-19 pandemic has massively impacted BMS work. Please pray that ongoing relief efforts will reach people in need and that BMS can well support their partners in adapting to this new normal. As BMS continues to implement their new strategy, pray that it will help bring necessary support to marginalised and least evangelised communities, as well as people on the move.

24th October

Pollok BC – Give thanks for the way God has sustained and kept us together, through Zoom, during restrictions; for our Food-bank & outdoor “pop up” cafe: both now finished. Pray for the reopening of our indoor cafe & “Kook Skool” and worshipping in our building. We have lost several key people recently – some through death (including COVID) and others who are relocating: pray for more workers to bring God’s grace & peace to Pollok.

Every Sunday evening several hundred people from our churches across Scotland join in our National Prayer Livestream.

The prayer calendar is a framework to help individuals or congregations pray for all our churches throughout the year.
