Father we pray today for those struggling with the cost of living just now. May you provide support to those who are struggling to make ends meet and may people who don’t know you yet, come to know the generosity of God in these days.
6th August
Islay BC – We give thanks to God for our new Junior Church that has brought new children and families into the church. This has been a great encouragement to us all. Please pray for our Summer Beach Mission which takes place on the first week of August. Pray for the Scripture Union team and that God’s Spirit will touch children and teenager’s hearts.
7th August
Lord God thank you for the network of churches across Scotland within our Baptist family. We thank you for each church fellowship, large or small, rural or urban, island or mainland. We pray that you would pour out your blessing on us in these days, that our hearts might be ignited for you and that in so doing we would ‘set alight’ others to know you Jesus and your kingdom.
8th August
Give thanks that we are Jesus’s hands and feet on earth and can give a voice to the voiceless. Pray for issues of injustice, inequality and poverty whether locally, nationally or globally and ask that God would show each of us how we can partner with him in bringing justice to these situations.
