Magnitude: Encountering Jesus Together
We’re proud to be a partner organisation of Magnitude. Our Young Adults Lead, Ali Laing, is part of the core team, and many Baptist youth leaders help shape and lead the event.
What is Magnitude?
Magnitude is a five-day Christian youth festival where young people gather to worship Jesus, deepen their faith, and grow in community. Magnitude also hosts regional gatherings across the year!
With inspiring teaching, passionate worship, and loads of opportunities for fun and friendship, it’s a highlight of the year for many of our Scottish Baptist churches.
Ali Laing, BUS Younger Lead, is an integral part of the Magnitude core team, hosting both in the big top tent and managing the BUS Catering Camp, where this year in 2025 we fed around 400 young people, 3 meals a day across the 5 day festival!
Regional Gatherings
Magnitude Regional Gatherings bring the heart of the festival to local communities. These one-night events are hosted across the country and open to all young people, whether they’ve been to the summer festival or not.
We’re so encouraged to see how God is moving in this generation and hundreds of young people from our Scottish Baptist churches are having life-changing encounters through these opportunities!
