Finance Assistant – Part Time (0.6 FTE)

The Baptist Union of Scotland is seeking an organised and energetic person to take on the role of Finance Assistant. This role involves having responsibility for the day to day operation of the BUS finance systems (including payroll), to liaise with the Finance Director, and to work with the Admin Support Team to enable the smooth running of the BUS office and provide financial support to both the BUS National Team and to the Churches. 

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of using an accounting software package (ideally Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll), be highly numerate with a methodical approach, be able to work efficiently and prioritise tasks, and have good IT skills. They will be positive, confident, with a can-do attitude and a desire to learn.

They will join a staff team that works together closely and collaboratively and join in with the spiritual rhythm of daily prayer together which is foundational to our work.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the mission of the BUS staff team to serve churches, strengthening the life of our network and supporting the vision for increase across all the congregations.
