Canopy 2020 Speakers Revealed!

Excitement is building as we continue to prepare for Canopy 2020. The programme is coming together and the time has come…we can now reveal some of our speakers and invited contributors! These are only some of our speakers and more contributors will be revealed in the coming weeks.

We are delighted that John Mark Comer has accepted our invitation to speak at Canopy 2020. John Mark is the pastor for teaching and vision at Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon. A church built around the very simple idea of practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland. We are looking forward to what John Mark has to share with us about spiritual health in the modern world.

We are also looking forward to having Brian Sanders with us. Brian is the founder of the Underground Network and has helped to start hundreds of missional enterprises and churches all over the world. Brian has lived in intentional community in the inner-city for more than twenty years, embodying the ideas that drive him. We will be hearing more about the Underground Network of churches as well as exploring the idea of micro-churches.

We have a number of seminars lined up as well, and we are looking forward to hearing what Ruth Rice has to share on wellbeing and mental health.

When leading a local Baptist Church she set up a small wellbeing cafe, a quiet shared space where it’s ok not to be ok, to share her habits of prayer and hobbies with her community.

She now leads Renew Wellbeing, a national charity helping churches set up similar wellbeing spaces in their communities to practice rhythms of prayer and to make connections for wellbeing.
