16th April

Lord, on this day of waiting and watching, when we embrace the uncomfortable silence between the sadness of the darkest day and the dawn of resurrection light and victory, help us in our waiting to be still as we anticipate the victory to come.

17th April

Lord Jesus on this Resurrection Day we give thanks for the hope that we have in Your resurrection and we celebrate Your victory over death and the powers of darkness. We pray that this Easter people across Scotland will come to know this resurrection hope for themselves.

18th April

Hillary Nyika (Chaplain, HMP Polmont) –   Pray for God’s peace and comfort to be upon all who are in prison. Pray for vulnerable individuals struggling with a sense rejection, forgiveness, guilty, shame and unworthiness that they may know and experience the power of God’s love, grace, hope and forgiveness. Pray for all prison staff  and chaplains for their health, safety and protection.

Every Sunday evening several hundred people from our churches across Scotland join in our National Prayer Livestream.

The prayer calendar is a framework to help individuals or congregations pray for all our churches throughout the year.
